I’ve wanted to apply my experiences and business skills for the greater good for as long as I can remember. I believe in the power of business acumen to solve and address issues that governments couldn’t or other organizations cannot. Through employment, innovation and access to services, entrepreneurs and businesses can have a massive social impact.
For the past ten years I have been collaborating with different sectors to pave the way for social impact and profit generation that promote shared value. During the course of my professional life, I have held multiple roles that have developed my skills in this segment, and have allowed me to tap into my passion for sustainable and ethical business models to achieve viable, long-term business success.
Passion for social innovation
I have a passion for social innovation and sustainability, which propels me to initiate holistic solutions that balance the needs of people, the earth and the businesses that I have helped launch. I’ve been fortunate enough to apply this passion professionally- my areas of expertise include working to help different stakeholders and players collaborate or supporting entrepreneurs. In my role as Sustainability Manager, I constantly engaged with investors and management to create awareness of the social and environmental impact of their investments.
I am always looking for ways to be a more conscious consumer and citizen. I participate and engage with people in the fashion, food and design community looking for common themes in waste, regeneration and how it can adapt to modern society. I also enjoy travelling, and exploring marketplaces for local products made naturally and ethically. I am currently based in Amsterdam with previous experience working in London, Angola, Boston and Dominican Republic, where I am originally from.
I admire Dominican mothers for their strength and resilience.
