What I do

As an experienced CFO and systems thinker, I help impact-driven companies secure capital, structures, and decisions that continue to work after the deal.

About me

I am Chesney Huskisson: CFO, systems thinker, and doer. I live half in Cape Town, half in Innsbruck, and work all over the world. I studied economics and law at Stellenbosch University and subsequently deliberately built a broad foundation, ranging from competition economics to entrepreneurial projects. At EBS Advisory, an ESG and impact consultancy that later became part of EY-Parthenon, I worked with private equity and venture capital funds and their portfolio companies on due diligence, impact, and corporate finance.

I wanted to be closer to the capital and the decisions themselves. That is why I moved to CRDC Materials, which converts hard-to-recycle plastic into building material. I joined as the first employee outside the founding team and rose through the ranks from Senior Analyst to CFO. I worked on financing, valuation, governance, structuring, and contracts. Since 2024, I have also been working for The Landbanking Group, where I translate the state of nature and nature risks into valuation methods, financial models, and investable structures.

My motivation is simple. I want to help bring nature into the economic system rather than alongside it. Additionally, I consider health and education essential because they give people the freedom to make their own choices. Outside of work, I am mostly outdoors: cycling, running, climbing, kitesurfing, and skiing.

The combination of entrepreneurial freedom within Generous Minds and the depth of this wonderful collective fits perfectly with how I work. I look forward to getting to know you and building lasting impact together.

How I help customers

I help you determine what capital you truly need and how to structure it. In doing so, I look beyond the numbers: at commerce, contracts, and people. During investor talks and governance, I ensure that agreements and incentives are right. This way, your financing continues to work even after the deal.

Number of deliverables
