My working life began at Boston Consulting Group, where I worked for about ten years. It was an inspiring time, including a year and a half in New York. After that, I made the switch to the Amsterdam start-up and scale-up world: Ace & Tate, VanMoof, and later Otrium. I also served briefly as CEO of Taxi2airport. In all these roles, I learned a great deal about building, growing, and adapting in a rapidly changing environment.

Along the way, I realized that I wanted to use my talent, time, and energy more broadly, so I started looking for work where impact comes first. Through Sander Schimmelpenninck's book, I ended up at TommyTomato, where I could focus on themes close to my heart: children, health, and equal opportunities. I worked there for 2.5 years and experienced the satisfaction of working primarily for impact.

Since last summer, I have continued working independently in the impact world, with assignments from my network of impact investors. For example, I am currently working with Yespers, Cup Xchange, United Repair Center, Meaningful Matter, and Byewaste, among others, where I support entrepreneurs with their finances and strategy. What I miss in this freelance work is being part of a team and being able to brainstorm with like-minded individuals. At Generous Minds, I find that combination: doing impact work and being part of a group of people striving for the same goals. I look forward to meeting new entrepreneurs and creating impact together!
