I started my career as an investment banker, amidst the dynamics of financial markets and large transactions. Then I surfed the .com wave at KPN. When the next wave emerged around 2005 – sustainability and energy transition – I knew this was more than a passing trend. With the founding of Essent Corporate Venturing and SET Ventures 1, I combined my financial expertise with technology that contributes to a healthier planet. Since then, I have been active in tech ventures focused on energy transition and circularity.

I was the founder of SET Ventures 1, an LP for many years, and later a team member as the fund grew into one of the leading energy transition tech investors in Europe. I worked for two years at a startup before exiting to Vattenfall. As CCO/CFO at Senfal, I learned in a turbulent environment what entrepreneurship and leadership truly require. At InnovationQuarter, I built a team and managed two funds, which we fully invested in sustainable and circular technology within four years. Finally, I also consider the founding and management of ETF-R and EnergiiQ as milestones.

My motivation stems from my concern about overpopulation and our management of natural resources. When I realized that I could strengthen the right companies through capital, my profession and my conviction converged. I want to continue surfing this wave!
